Post Processor For 4th Axis B Rotations Issues

Good morning everyone.

I have been trying to develop a post processor for Kitamura horizontal machines.

We bought a fusion 360 license about a year ago and I was able to hack together the HAAS A-Axis post to get us running but its time to develop a more stable post with all the proper functions.

I started with the generic Fanuc post and was able to get it to output the proper codes for a lot of the machines functions.

My issue right now is that it will not output negative B axis rotations.

I can do everything just fine in the positive B axis rotations. But when it needs to rotate to B-90.0 it outputs a B90.0 code instead.

I have made a dummy file to show my issue. I face and drill on both B90 and B-90 faces.

Both rotations go to B90.0

I have attached my dummy Fusion file, my post processor, and the .nc file that gets posted when I output the code to a memory stick.

I have named the toolpaths in the file so that when you post out the program you can see what rotation is supposed to be called out in the code. I have also attached 2 photos of that I am talking about here.

I hope there are some post processor experts on here that can help me out.

@seth.madore do you know of anyone on the Fusion team who can help me out?

Is B-90. required, or will B270. be acceptable?

Are you using machine configurations?

B270. would be better than it not working at all,

B-90 is more preferred because its what everyone in my shop is use to.

When you say machine configurations are you referring to the machine configurations in the post processor or are you talking about within fusion itself?

I tried changing around the machine configurations within the post but I couldn't get any good results,

I am not using any machine model or anything like that within fusion

@bpetersen9BTH4

Tryt the attached, it does B90 and B-90 on your sample file, the EULER angles for the Workplane were set to "False", changed to "True"and the Preference changed from 1 to 0, this seems to be better maybe ????

Hey @engineguy

When I use that post on the dummy file it still doesn't do -90 values.

could it be something on my end?

@bpetersen9BTH4

Best I can offer is the attached modified Post Processor and a short Video of exactly what I get here and how I got there :slightly_smiling_face: Hope we are closer this time :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

@engineguy You absolute legend thanks for all the help!!

Hopefully this will be the last of the complicated changes needed for my post to work!

Thanks again man
