How can I improve UI responsiveness when selecting curves as pocket selections
How can I skip or optimize performed calculations when in CAM and selecting complex sketch curves as pocket selections?
UI responsive degrades dramatically when more than some complex sketch curves are selected as pocket selection. Click and wait cycles are created with unworkable delays before 'calculations' are updated and a next click can be triggered. The need to reverse most of the selected curves after first selection doubles the increasing wait time. This becomes worse with the number of pocket selections.
Actions to reproduce:
- open the attached file "jersey"
- switch to "CAM"
- double click Operations / Setup2 / [T1] 2D Pocket1
- in the popup click "Geometry"
- add a pocket by selection a curve on the surface of the model
I would very much appreciate any suggestion to improve UI responsiveness. If it's just my Macbook Pro Mid 2010 (of which I have no performance complains) let me know
Thanks!

Wow. It ain't your computer. I've got an i7, 16gb ram, 2gb graphics. And it boggggggsssssssss down.
I've worked on some rather complex stuff before, but this breaks that barrier.

This is definitely slow and is one of the many things that is ongoing for development. If you do a cut extrude the system will normally work faster with edges that a sketch. The other thing that will help is if you are reusing the same geometry it would be much faster to use derived operation.
