using 2d contour for miter fold cuts

Hi,

I am setting up miterfolds with a 90 degree V groove bit. I'm trying to find the right tool type  In the Fusion library the counter sink bit is the only thing that is close. It seems to work as long as I do not use multi pass. When I try multipass it fails to generate a tool pass every time. No explanation why.

Does anyone know why there is this limitation for the counter sink tool and what alternative might work for miterfolds?

Thanks

Have you tried using a Chamfer Mill?

does not allow multiple passes.

hmmm. it may seem odd but its a large area to cut and from what I have been told by others making muliple passes is advisable. I am still curious why Fusion would prevent multiple passes from being an option with the chamfer mill or counter sink bit. Or why there is no V groove bit?

If you're using 2d contour with Compensation set to off you need a tapered mill.

For mutiple depths set the taper angle to zero, it will give a warning just click yes and ignore.
