Hello all,
I'm getting a little confused about how toolpaths are displayed in CAM - specifically, if you have multiple patterns.
If you have multiple patterns in one setup, selecting all patterns only shows one patterned toolpath - not all of them. If you post with multiple patterns selected, it posts them all as expected. but you just can't "see" all the paths in the CAM space - they don't all display.
If you hit "simulate" it shows all patterned toolpaths selected.
However, if you have multiple toolpaths in one pattern, it will show all those at once.
Is this expected behavior?
See screencast - I show the individual patterns and when I select multiple, it only shows one pattern not all the patterns selected.
Thanks!

Yes this is by designee. The issue came up early on that displaying all the toolpaths on a busy part could and did end up overloading graphics cards.

Hello @jeff.walters
Why does it display all the toolpaths if they are in the same pattern though? I guess multiple patterns use up more than just one pattern with multiple paths, huh? ...that makes sense now that I think about it. ![]()
What about when a simulation is run with multiple patterns are selected? It displays the toolpaths then. Is this different as well?
Thanks for the quick response!

Yes is a bit different. When you enter simulation the graphics can be handled a bit different so the tool paths can be displayed.
