Using 3d Adaptive clearing as a finish pass?

Hi, I have designed a somewhat complex shape and want to use 3d adaptive clearing as a finish pass.  I see its designed as a roughing strategy but if using rest machining and turning off stock to leave it does a pretty good job of getting my shape done. What is the consensus?

Hi @pierre_blazebicycles, I've use adaptive as a finish pass, sure why not. Is adaptive a roughing strategy? Yes, and it also drives the tool, if that does what you need then it's all good. I would encourage everyone to try the other strategies they do tend to go faster and produce nicer results, but every project is different.

I agree with @Joshua.Aigen , if it works, use it. I've not done any work where a faceted face would be permissible, but if you're happy with the finish, go for it.
