-Z min in G code?

Hello Form,

I am new to Fushion and learning G code.I am trying to create an engraved feature with a 45 degree engraving tool in a practice piece of MDF. I have created my G-code but on line 6 I get:

(T1  D=0.487 CR=0. TAPER=45DEG - ZMIN=0.6546 - CHAMFER MILL)

If I try to run the code on my CNC machine after zeroing my tool height on the work piece the code is executed above the work piece? I suspect it has something to do with this - ZMIN?

It is still unclear to me how to set the depth of cut I want in Fusion 360? I have read the Paramters section of the on line manual but this aspect does not make sense to me.

Any help would be appreciated. Code is attached.

That line is just a comment not read by the control and the minus is just between the different info on the line, it actually show the minimum Z is +0.6546

Here's the first few lines from your file.

If you look a line N120 you can see the Z is 0.6546, if the top of your job is zero then this is not going to cut. I guess you have the origin in the setup wrong or different to the setup on the machine. Your best bet is to export the f3d file and attach so someone can help.

Thanks! So much! That was what the problem was, I had selected the wrong Zero Z when I was doing the set up. It was hard to see the right point to select. Now I will know, next time how to correct this issue. The part ran perfectly!
