I assume your using a 2d contour?
If you turn on stock contours in the geometry tab and pick a contour that matches the extent of the part you want to avoid, fusion will add the appropriate extension to the paths to avoid a collision,

Be aware you can sometimes get funny behavior with the lead-ins doing weird stuff(with stock contours turned on), like going along the side of the part for a distance, or crossing over a surface, the easiest way to fix this is to turn off lead ins in the linking tab, Fusion will still move the cutter away to avoid the stock, it just wont have any horizontal or vertical radii going in.

Which is not going to work if you need to use cutter compensation. Another method that works quite well is Tangential Extension, with "Separate Tangential Extension" enabled. You can adjust to your heart's content via that method AND retain your smaller lead in/out moves
