Hi @CuttingEdgeManufacturing,

Are you able to attach the project?

Although it says 100% is there a toolpath there? Try view toolpath/simulate/or even post it out.

project attached.

there is no toolpath there. if you simulate it says there is a toolpath still generating.

looks like if i turn rest machining off it will generate on other programs im having this issue on. not sure why though.

Your tool orientation is incorrect, specifically the Z axis. See photos for correction

nice ok. i was worried it was a preview functionality issues because ive been using alot of them lately. thanks again. ill keep an eye on my WCS selections!

Glad to help. Make sure to accept as a solution so it shows up for other members with a similar issues. Have a great day!

@jamesT47WA brilliant spot!

@CuttingEdgeManufacturing I'm taking a look as I think we shouldn't have displayed 100% toolpath here, thanks again for reporting.

Got to love the Fusion community!!!!

its a different type of beast, this community that is.

doesnt seem like that fixes my issue on any other programs i have. matter of fact i went back and double checked my WCS on the part mentioned here, and i dont see the issue with my selections.

currently the only way i can get these toolpaths to generate is to remove rest machining. its actually happening on every single program i do that uses a 3d or 2d adaptive.

I have same issue. Latest update broke 3D adaptive.

We really need fix for this urgently. I don't know how did this go pass the testing and got released.

So in this case it turns out that Preview feature "Process Stock as Remaining Stock" is the cause. I missed to turn that one off. Once turned off toolpaths can regenerate. PHEW!

I was about to add this. Yes it is IPS as rest machining preview feature. The toolpath gets stuck because you do not have the IPS generated on the previous toolpath(s) and you are trying to do a rest machining operation.

You can get the toolpath to generate by either waiting for all the IPS to catch up or if IPS has got stuck on a previous operation you need to go and force regenerate that one so that IPS can generate for all the toolpaths and thus the toolpath is generated.

The 100% toolpath completion when you hover over it is very misleading - I think it means it has done 100% of the pre-processing but it is waiting for the IPS stock model to calculate the rest machining etc.

Personally I'd recommend not using IPS as rest machining for now.

yea, i generally see a large manufacturing update, and go dive into the preview functions. anything remotely interesting i try out. so half the time i forget what all i even have.

turned this one back off just now.

thanks for the help!
