Can you use 3D Adaptive tool path on 4th axis?

Hi,

I've attempted to use a 3d toolpath on 4th axis and I'm using a circular pattern as I have 16 identical pockets to profile.

However, when coming to create the program it will say that it has failed.

My other rotary tool paths are ok and my 2d facing tool path on a circular toolpath works also.

Also I've attempted using a 2d toolpath, but I'm struggling with the tool orientation and aligning it to the centre of the pocket - it seems easier to do it on the 3d tool path as you have the align view.

Thanks

Ryan

Could you provide some screenshots of what you're running into?
Yes, 3d adaptive works with tool orientation when you're working with a 4 axis. Now, it doesn't support Wrap function, such that 2D Pocket, Contour and Adaptive offer, but it doesn't seem that's what you're running into.

Even better than screenshots, can you share your file?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

In your above file, I'm not seeing the error:

The error occurs when attempting to output the program, that's when the error will show.
