pockets to a specific depth I'm lost newbie here
Okay I must be offset challenged. Newbie to Fusion manufacturing I got the design part going okay. I want to cut pockets to a specific depth but for some stupid reason they are always deeper than I want. I want a .8 deep pocket after all final passes etc. no matter what offset I use I get pockets that are 1.07, 1.08, 1.125. I have been beating on this for 2 days now. Thankfully I'm not using good stock. I realize its a newbie thing. Also how do I reduce the number of passes it makes to do these cuts. Last thing can some one tell me why I can not see the bottom of the screen when I generate the NC files? every other application has no issue.

Looking at your file your toolpathed pocket is actually 0.942in deep so using the 3D toolpath it will go all the way to the bottom of the pocket, see the image below, I selected the top face of the Model for the "Top Height" , next I selected top of the Model again for the "Bottom Height" but this time with an offset of -0.8in so the toolpath will only go to that depth, this means that it is not going to the bottom of the pocket in your Model, if that is all you want then use the "Heights" tab to move things up and down as required.
As for the number of passes, this is controlled in your toolpath by the "Maximum Roughing Stepdown" setting, this defaults to a value of 0.04in, if you want fewer stepdowns (Passes) then try changing the 0.04in to say 0.1in so you will be machining a depth of cut of 0.1in instaed of the 0.04in. You can find this under the "Passes" tab.
