Dampers (CID 921) coming in horizontal instead of vertical

We've recently upgraded from Fabrication CADmep 2018 to Fabrication CADmep 2021 and we're seeing an issue with our dampers coming in horizontally when manually placing them into our duct, opposed to vertically as they were before we upgraded.  This happens on both the round and the rectangular systems.  While digging into this, I saw this issue came up in 2019, but I have not seen a fix when it comes to manually placing the dampers.  Has anyone been able to rectify this?  I've included a screen shot to illustrate what I'm referring to.

They seem to break that every now and than it has happened in previous version, thou before autodesk bought out the software it would be fixed in a flash. to get around it for now once placed use your X or Y or Z key to rotate damper in duct

I don't believe you can do today's job with yesterday's methods and be in business tomorrow.
