Editing the Database from Revit

Has anyone heard anything more about the ability to edit your database from Revit?  Or even a stand alone editor, to eliminated the need for AutoCAD?

Thanks

Dan

They're going to put it on Forge. You can see details (few) in the Revit Public Roadmap....

It's been on the roadmap for some time. No idea when they'll be done but I can imagine it's a lot of work.

@Dan.Lovell What database are you talking about? The Revit internal database or an external database? There is a Revit Database editor in the Revit App store that allows to edit the data in a typical database/spreadsheet interface. But it requires to run inside Revit.

there is a standalone database editor called Fabrication CAMduct, one of the Fabrication products, which is the best  editor for customize Fabrication content, and it's not AutoCAD-based like CADmep.

has this ever been achieved yet?

access to database isn't always achievable when receiving models from 3rd parties but we might require to add itms to the database as the design develops
