Depends if it is rectangular or circular item and if it has connectors

Notches and settings are setup in database under fittings tab, you can find these either in pattern switches/developments or pattern options / notches

these settings allow you to notch out or v notch the ends making folding easy without the need to measure

circular and rectangular work differently so you will need to experiment

If you can tell me what part you are trying to achieve this on I may be able to give you some specific instruction or point you in the right direction
