Blue circle spin every 3 seconds in Revit file with Fab parts

Anyone experienced similar behavior last week? Our model is located in BIM360 and all of the users were experiencing blue circle spin that would stop for 2-3 seconds and repeat again only on this specific project. Lasted for at least 3 days. We thought it was Fabrication related issue but today it resolved on its own. Interesting fact was, that we tried to reload Fab configuration and it stopped to spin and worked fine but after sync and reopening the same file the issue reoccurred.

Similar behavior was observed when GUID was lost but this time it was something different.

Hi @AYegorova

Hmm, in my opinion it could be BIM as well as Fabrication. The same thing happens when you have a file saved locally?

The second thing is that in the meantime have you changed any services, elements in your database?  A circle may appear because Revit tries to find the used elements in the database which could have been changed.

I also suggest to check what will happened when you reload the configuration on opened model and save the project again on BIM360 from the beginning and see how the model behaves?

It would be good to have a file with us so we can quickly diagnose it or connect to you remotely to troubleshoot the issue.

1. Yes, during the spin time I did save the file locally and it was doing the same thing. I even had the old copy of the same file and blue circle was there as well.

2. There were definitely changes to our database. That is why we were reloading our configuration to get the latest version.

3. We did try to reload configuration again in that file because after reload  the file was acting normally but after sync, close and reopen file-the issue was still active. Then we tried to reload config and save as a new file on BIM360 and it was doing the same thing... We gave up after that. Over the weekend file was back to normal.

I wish I could know what was happening on the back side

Of course during that process, we were clearing cashes and journal files

It is hard for me to say what could have been the cause without the system files and the journal from that period. These are the only tangible traces that could shed a little more light on the issue. If you have them, please send them to me in a private message. This is the first case of this type that we register in our system. Thanks!
