Couplings stopped working on Round and Oval items when Double Wall is used!

As tittle describes, Round and Oval Items no longer places couplings automatically when the Service is Double Wall, they work fine in Single Wall Services. Out of ideas and searches... This happens on 2020, 2018 they work fine...

Hello @VirtualPilot ,

I'm sorry to hear this isn't working. Are you seeing this with every double wall service? Or is it only happening to one specifically?

I tried testing with my services, but I'm not seeing the behavior. Are you able to provide the following to help me reproduce and narrow this down:

  • Your exported service for testing (From the EXPORTSYS command), or the setting you are using so I can re-create it.
  • A Screencast  of the steps you are taking in 2018 and seeing it work, and 2020 and seeing it behave differently.

It has not been resolved, I will post an exported system later with a video for review.

I'm attaching a video of the Couplers working on 2018 and not working on 2020, plus a SYS export.

Any news on this issue yet? Do you need more information or files?

Hello @VirtualPilot ,

My apologies for the delay, we've been testing and been able to narrow this down and reproduce. It looks like if the service is set to double wall and has dimensions set to 'inside' instead of 'outside' couplings are not inserting properly.

I am escalating this to our development team for some feedback, but most likely this is something they will have to resolve in an update or future release,. I will post here with any initial feedback we receive.

Awesome! The way we work here has to be Inside Dimension, as is the industry standard for Round and Oval, we have unique calculations sets on all of our fittings when double wall for proper development, changing to Outside Dimension will only create chaos on our end, please keep me posted, and again, thanks for your attention to this issue.

Hello @VirtualPilot ,

I was able to talk to my colleagues and get this escalated to our Development team. It looks like it is something that will require further investigation from them.

I will keep this forum post updated with any feedback, but it looks like it's something that will require fixing with an update or future release.

Much appreciated Mariah! Hopefully it can be fixed soon!

Hello,

Would we ever see this issue fix any time soon?

Is the software even being updated at all?

We are still suffering from this issue and have not seen any fix on the horizon...

Thanks!

Mariah,

Is there any chance this can be fixed soon? It's been quite a long time and we are still having the same issue making doing double wall jobs very, very cumbersome as yo cannot do entire runs without having to manually place couplings!

Thanks in advance!
