Starting New Design Line From Existing Fitting Placed With Attacher

I've drawn a sloped design line for a sanitary system in PVC and would like to transition to no-hub cast iron. Since there isn't a way to transition to the different material within the same design line or service, I placed a No.119 No-hub adapter on the end of the pipe with the attacher tool along with a no-hub coupling.

I would like to continue out of that no-hub coupling with a new design line in a different service using no-hub cast iron. Unfortunately a grip doesn't exist on that coupling when the design line command is active. So when I try to start the new design line I cannot place the start in the hub of that coupling. Fairly new to this software, is there something I am missing?

Note : Design line doesn't seemed to be geared towards plumbing just yet. We transition to different materials in the same service ALL THE TIME... We could have PVC, Cast Iron, and DWV copper all connected in the same sanitary system and same service. Design line does not allow for that... Likewise we could also have a PVC sanitary service directly connecting to a PVC vent service. Design line doesn't allow for that either... My hope is that future updates to the software cater more towards the plumbing aspect of this software and the different situations we find ourselves in.

The easiest way to get the design line correctly located is to place a temporary line at the fitting node before you switch to design line and start another service.

If your original design line is sloped and you start a new design line, be sure the endpoint of the new design line  remains at the fitting after you apply slope or use drawn polylines with slope which you then segment to reflect the different services prior to applying the design line Trace option.

Is the REVDESIGN command what your looking for?

It converts existing piping into a design line.
