Slow saves with Graphics hardware acceleration turned on

Using AutoCAD & Fabrication Cadmep 2019 with graphics hardware acceleration turned on my saves are taking so much longer than they should.

This is the same for other colleagues in my office so various PCs & .dwgs

With acceleration turned off saves take 7 seconds, with acceleration turned on it takes over 3 minutes.

This was the same at a previous company where we used Cadmep 2017, we had to turn off hardware acceleration to speed up saves.

We had no problems with Autocad/Cadmep 2014/16 with hardware acceleration turned on.

I have the latest updates of AutoCAD and Fabrication installed.

I have tried using the latest certified graphics card driver from Autodesk and also the very latest driver from Nvidia.

I can solve by leaving hardware acceleration turned off but that seems the wrong thing to do and makes the 3d experience a bit glitchy at times.

Any idea what it is doing whilst saving that slows it down the hardware acceleration turned on.
