At this time there is no way to resize the icons in the edit service template, I do however see the value in this suggestion as it is very hard to see those very small icons. The best work-around I have is to drag the item into your template, study what it is, keep it if you like, otherwise right-click and choose Delete Button.
I would like to suggest you post this to our ideas page for Fabrication and I am confident other users on that platform will agree.
