LENGTHEN DUCT AND FITTINGS

I have 2 work stations. One of the stations will allow me to click on the end of the duct and lengthen it. The other station does not lengthen, but adds duct instead. They are both suppose to be using the same database. Is there a setting that will lengthen duct and fitting instead of adding additional duct? Thank you.

In other workstation, even if it is same database, but i believe, the duct piece's length has been restricted by some value and locked.

Try following steps

go to duct piece icon and right click >> go to Edit .. then the .itm link show beside

Now, check if there is any specific value mentioned and locked

If so, unlock it and enable Auto from drop down.

Now, click ok.

Now, check if you got your desire result.

I found the solution. Under edit main database, takeoff, cad settings, stretch tab, uncheck the box that says "don't allow template fittings to be stretched. Thanks again.
