David is correct. You shouldn't upgrade your database release to release.

 

That being said, CADINFO.MAP is the file that contains the "CAD Settings". You'll find it in the same folder as the MAP.INI file which is where your fabrication database configuration points to. The MAP.INI then points to the rest of the database settings.

 

Because MAP.INI is what shows up in the configuration selection dialog, and because it also finds the rest of your database, you can "Seperate" some of the settings by having 2 different folders for the MAP.INI file and the other files in that folder. Those MAP.INI files should point to the same location for the rest of the database. But because there's 2 MAP.INI files (or more), there's also then 2 CADINFO.MAP files which will allow you to set some things different.

 

This would allow you for instance, to set fractional inches for length on sheetmetal and use the diameter symbol for round duct sizes but also use ft-inch format for pipe lengths and no diameter symbol for size.

 

This is also the easiest way to spin up a "soft metric" configuration where everything is drawn imperial but annotated in metric.
