You'd need to access a virtual machine from Apply/Android using something like Citrix which is NOT ideal.
Autodesk had plans to do an app like that a few years ago but put them on hold over other priorities.

hello, we have made workaround for missing tracker app. We made webapp that gets new csv with job data everytime new job is sent to workshop, and we update status of the items (as it goes thru process) on the webapp using mobilephones/mobile data terminals - so anyone can see the status of items in the job via website. The webapp then generates SIF files for the tracker with updates based on schedule, or you can generate specific items sif file manually (for example list of material when loading the truck).
There are two problems - you HAVE to run tracker sw on some (at least one) computer to write changes to the maj files, and, whats bigger issue, tracker can handle just item as it is with handle reference, without any further information about quantity - that means, when you have job with item, and the item quantity is 20, tracker will always set status for the item, not checking the qty. Seems pretty obvious, but it is something you need to consider.

hi @Anonymous
I am trying to setup tracker within my company and I am looking some some insite from you. I cannot work out how the .sif file is generated, do you need to use a Serial USB wire to the scanner? Do you input the data to an Excel file then save it as a .sif or .csv file? (if so how?). Do you have to scan straight to the Tracker software? (if so how).
Your help is greatly appreciated.

In our company, I installed it on a Windows tablet (Dell Venue Pro) with Rugged Case and for faster scanning, we used a Motorolla ds3578 handheld scanner (that was 5 years ago). Currently planning to upgrade using a Microsoft surface go/go 2 with a MobileDemand Mil Specs cover but if an android or IOS option is available then it would be great.
Also, I haven't tested the built-in camera of current phone/tablets if the performance will be acceptable when used to scan QR code outdoors thus eliminating the requirement for a separate scanner.
Our workaround with regards to the quantity issue is that we create 1 item for each.
Item QTY
800x800 Rectangular Duct 1
800x800 Rectangular Duct 1
Disadvantage is if you have 100 pcs the same item then you will have a very long list.

@ranliv just a few quick questions for you, you seem to have yours working well
So do you have a wire/ USB running from your handheld scanner to your windows tablet?
Also do you have Tracker installed on the windows tablet? I only have one CAMduct license therefore I assumed I could only have one Tracker application?
Thanks
Emma
