Legacy Hidden - Arc Linetypes not working
Evening all
Just come across a problem that a fellow caddie has asked for help with, that I've been able to fix for him. Essentially, when printing a 2D background through a viewport using Legacy Hidden (so that the 3D content shows correct hidden detail and blanks out the background underneath), any 2D arcs with a linetype will print as continuous. The same problem can be replicated using the HIDE command. All linetypes and ltscales / lt variables are correct.
He's using 2018 and I don't recall noticing this issue in previous releases. Is this a bug in 2018?
Any and all help much appreciated.
Many thanks
Graham

Hi Graham,
Welcome to the forum.
Can you please post the question in to the AutoCAD Forum instead, as this is an AutoCAD question?
Regarding this issue in AutoCAD 2018, this is likely the result of the HIDEPRECISION system variable being set to 0 and the visual style of the model set to Hidden.
Can you please try the following on your side?
- On the command line in AutoCAD, type HIDEPRECISION.
- Change the value to 1.
- The visual style of the model should be kept to "Wireframe."
- If the issue persists, please use MVIEW (Command), change the "Shadeplot" to "As displayed", then select the viewports and print.
Please let us know how it goes.
