Nodes - additional nodes placed with RIF file

I have recently been using 2018 release of Fabrication CADmep and Revit and found a scenario where there appears to be too many nodes placed on a designline when importing a Revit run of ducting into a Fabrication drawing. Wondering has anyone else encountered this scenario?

The process of export/import is as follows

In Revit

  • Create a run of duct in Revit using generic families or a configured service/specification
  • Using the Store Design Line Elements tool in RME to FAB tab, selecting the run of duct
  • Save the file as a RIF file using the above tool and OUT button.

In Fabrication CADmep

  • Use command PROCESSRUN and select file saved from Revit
  • When the run of duct has been placed, activate the Designline by double clicking
  • Select a service and specification and populate/fill with 3D Items
  • At this point some of the Items do not place
  • Annotate the Design Line to examine the Nodes placed
  • At the Bends where one would expect a BEND Node there are unusual Node annotation like "Rectangular Flanged Radius Bend"
  • Using the NODE drop down menu on the DesignLine palette > EDIT, this opens the NODE EDITOR
  • Here the list of Nodes can be viewed and when the "unusual" Nodes are deleted we are left with the normal and familiar Nodes
  • In the drawing when I unfill and fill the 3D Items, the DesignLine works and fills correctly.
  • The annotation also now shows what we would expect to see

It appears that for some reason there are too many Nodes being placed during this process.
