Hi all,
i cut a section, like i have 1000 times before, and i set it up with a scale of 1/4" = 1'-0". I have attached a .png showing what my screen looks like. whatever I do next resets my section viewport scale to zero. If I save and close the drawing, it will be set to zero when I open it. if I plot it, it plots with a scale of zero.
this is somehow drawing specific, if i create a brand new drawing and draw new duct and then cut a section, everything is fine.
i have copied objects to a new drawing and produce the same results.
i fear something is corrupt in the file, but if anyone has any ideas, they would be much appreciated.

Done !!
draw viewport of your drawing in paper space, double click in the viewport area and enter in model space, create section and ready the section view port first. set scale 1/4"-1'-0", lock the display.
Now copy this viewport and make a clone and place beside it. now unlock the display of copied viewport, again double click and enter in the area of copied viewport and return back to the plan by restore last view option in Fabrication Cadmep section tool, and set the scale of plan view and lock the display again.
Please note : all work to be performed in paperspace only.
Please find attached your drawing which I updated to show you the result. please hit a kudo if you happy and got proper result.![]()

thank you for the work. Also, if I just delete both viewports and remake both viewports they work fine. I wonder why this was happening, oh well, it works now. thanks again.
