Pipe fitting diameter smaller than Pipe diameter

We're having issues with the fittings being different diameter or smaller than that same size of pipe. It looks like for some reason the fittings are using an inside diameter instead of an outside diameter on the fittings.

Example of our issue. We place a length of 10" pipe which is 10.75" Outside diameter and is correct. Then we place a 10" elbow on it and it's smaller and measures 10" which is the ID (inside diameter) of 10" pipe. OD (outside diameter of 10" pipe should be 10.75".

I assume these are picked up in the specs somewhere and most of the fittings on the template are building data fittings.

Most of our models are fine but all the sudden someone will have this issue on a model. Now if the use the same service and same procedure on a clean drawing the fittings are fine. It's like the model gets corrupt and it can't be fixed.

I've tried importing fresh specs, rebuildall, updatefromsource, etc. nothing works to fix this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Verify the material.

Depending on the age of your database, the materials were enhanced a couple yeas ago to allow a "gauge" ("Specification") like sheet metal has.

If the material/spec is set differently between the two, this could explain it.

If anyone has used an older version to edit the database, it could have potentially stripped some of the additional piping material properties that were added in recent releases.

If the content is from Building Data, I believe the material may be locked. Either they messed it up (unlikely) or the material settings in your DB have changed.

OD use to be controlled by the Spec. It still can but the proper way to do it now is via Materials. You may have a mix of methodologies going on which could also be contributing to the issue.
