View port object entering paperspace

I am having issues with my viewport object entering paperspace. First time I created the vport I copied it over from a drawing where it worked, then I created a new one using polygonal viewport, then I drew a polyline and used it to create the viewport. Same issue.

The section selected is the Vport.

I don't think I completely follow the process you are trying to do, but I am wondering if the problem isn't during the copy to clipboard. Instead of selecting a single object, make sure you are using the green crossing window on the edge of the viewport to grab all objects. Viewports created from polylines never actually consume to polyline and it often exists as the top level object.

It was just a glitch. I restarted the computer and it was fine.

The copy and paste was not the issue.
