Autodesk Fabrication Est 2017 designline pipe hangers not filling in
I decided to load up the 2017 version of Est and see what was new. Well it appears it is not filling the same hanger we have been using in 2015 and 2016. Tried filling in a clevis hanger on a chilled water service and no hanger will fill in the 2017 version. Same service in 2015 version has no problem filling in the clevis hanger. No settings have changed in the services and it is the same database for both versions (yes it is backed up just in case). The duct hangers work in both versions but the pipe hangers are a no go so far. Any clue?
We are using a database and items from previous releases of Cadmep. Using those it will not fill clevis hangers on 2017 in designline. You are right that if we use the new imperial dtatbase that comes with 2017 it does fill the clevis hanger. Something is amiss in the 2017 version that won't fill older versions of the same item. It would be too costly to go and recode and replace all the the different pipe hangers we use just to make thie 2017 version work. It should work with previous version items as well. I am not the only one that has found this. Check the Xtracad site, it is starting to pop up with others as well.
