RECTANGULAR CONNECTOR IN & OUT

Guys

Quite some time ago, the company I worked for used M.A.P's ESTDuct, CADDuct & CAMDuct on a shared database, however, nothing was utilized and nobody had the correct knowledge of how everything worked. When I joined the company, I started to gain a decent knowledge of the systems, however, the company stopped trading in 2010.

I am back working in the same building and we've decided as a starter point, to purchase Autodesk ESTMep.

I am setting up ESTMep and have copied the specification from the OLD M.A.P CAMduct and have noticed that on the rectangular duct, the "Connector (Out)" is set to "Not Used". Surely this should be set to the same as "Connector (In)"?

I have attached a screen capture.

Could someone help me with this?

You can actually leave the connector out set to "Not Used" and the program will automatically use the connector in. I always set both even though it is not necessary because it let me know everything is taken care of and no loose ends.

Heads up, there can be issues with BOTH SET, save some headaches down the road and as Greg Suggested first leave 2nd one at "NONE"

I don't remebr off hand the issues I had many years ago, but it changed some over ridden End Treatments.

I don't believe you can do today's job with yesterday's methods and be in business tomorrow.
