Create BOM with a total quantity multiplier...

I want to create a column in my BOM that shows total quantity required.

Currently, we place a note on the drawing that tells the shop how many "widgets" to build.

The BOM shows the quantity required to build one.  I would like to enter a number required (custom property?) that gives total "widgets" that are required.

Then, using that number ,multiply the quantity required for each line item and appear in the BOM.

I appreciate any help.

Hi

If you look at this thread, post #3 by myself, will solve your problem. There are other posts there, but IMO mine is the best method Smiley Tongue

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/part-assembly-quantities/td-p/4342976

It uses a multiplier to automatically total the qty column.

In your case, you can have both, the individual and Total QTY columns.

You will see that the forum language police have automatically edited out some of the wording used in my post, please refer to the images for clues.

Please shout if it does not make sense.
