So, like you said, it would be way easier if you could just vary the dimension as a parameter.
Could you create 2 constraints; 1 for either position and always have 1 suppressed and the other active? Then use an iLogic rule to check the input parameter, and change the suppression of the constraints based upon the result.
Another (worse) way: How about putting a couple of reference dimensions on your points (The .75 and .35 dimensions you have there), and naming them in the parameter screen? Then, you could switch which parameter gets used when the Option changes.
