Show reference from a copy-design on the new design's drawing?
Let's say you have one existing design: Design01.idw and Design01.iam.
You make a copy-design from that, to create Design02.idw and Design02.iam.
Is there an automated way to populate some field in the title block of Design02.idw to indicate on the drawing that it came from Design01?

Are you talking about using the "iLogic Design Copy" tool that is found on the Tools tab > iLogic panel, when no documents are open? Or are you talking about copying the files and renaming them using iLogic rules or VBA macro?

OK. Sorry then. I'm not familiar enough with Vault, since we're not currently using it, to be of much help here.

I don't think there is an option for linking the parent file in the Vault Copy Design options, but you could set up a custom iProperty in your original before doing the copy design. Have that custom iProperty be the file name of the original document and then it will get copied to the rest. The issue there is that it wouldn't update if you change the parent name after the copy design.
