Ilogic shared costum parameters

Is it possible to share your custom parameters from you main assembly with your sub-assembly's?

The costum parameters are inportant for the design and all of the sub-assembly's have to change when the Value of the parameter is changed.
If there is an other option to share parameters and use them in multiple parts/assembly's, that's also an option.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Bianca,

I don't think you can link a top-level assembly parameter to a subassembly. This can introduce cyclic relationship. However, you can drive all parameters from any level at the top-level assembly. For example, you have a parameter called "Top_Length" at the top level. And, you want it to drive "Sub_Length" at the sub level. You can simply write an iLogic rule to capture "Sub_Length" and the equate it to "Top_Length."

Would it work for you?

Many thanks!

Thank you!

It know works like shown in the picture. It takes a little bit of time to do this for all the parts but it works!sharing parameters.PNG
