Not at the current moment - but we are developing this feature currently. You'll see it in FormIt soon.
Hi cpatton,
Yes, the Section Plane tool was added to FormIt this spring with v16.0.
The workflow is roughly this:
- Launch the Section Plane tool, and you'll see a plane appear on your cursor, which will snap/align to the surface or edge you hover over
- Before you place the plane, you can hit Tab to switch the orientation of the plane, cycling through various axes/orientations
- Click to place the Section Plane and cut the model
- You'll see two new Layers appear: Section Cut 1, and Section Indicators. Disabling Section Cut 1 will turn off the cut and the indicators entirely. Turning off Section Indicators turns off only the interface pieces (the plane and arrows) but keeps the section cut itself active. You'll need to have Section Indicators on in order to grab the plane and adjust its position.
- You can have multiple Section Planes active at once, and achieve a result similar to Revit's Section Boxes.
In FormIt for Windows, you can find the Section Plane tool here, or use shortcut SP:
In FormIt for Web, you can also use shortcut SP to place Planes, but we haven't added the UI for this yet.
The Section Plane tool is not available on our mobile platforms.
