Hardware: Apple IPad
Software: FormIt App
Background: I am using a project from my past to teach myself FormIt so I have plans, sections and elevations in image format that I am trying to use as references.
Issues: I am trying to place and scale the aforementioned images to use to build the model, however, I am having a very difficult time in the z axis, as well as, getting them to place in the appropriate locations and scale to proper sizes.
Questions: It does not seem like the images have endpoint snaps, is this correct? How can I more accurately maneuver the images up and down in space, as well as, front to back. As far as scaling, I recall in AutoCAD and other similar software platforms I could set a reference length and then select two points on a separate object and then make these two segments match. I.e. Segment one is 1' and segment two is 5', I choose the end points of object one and then the end points of object two and then stretched object two down to the same 1' length as object one. This allowed for object scaling to be fairly accurate. Is there anything like this in FormIt? If so, can it be done on images? Additionally, If I draw a box, can I have an image snap to one of the faces of the box? This would help getting the images positioned more accurately so that I could then build the necessary objects from the reference material.
Attachments: In the attached photos the "ghosted" image is a section/elevation. You can see the green axis is running right through the image. I am having a heck of a time getting the image to move above the work plane AND scaled to match the floor plan and satellite images.
Any advice would be incredibly helpful. Also, If I am missing a tool or use of a tool, I apologize in advance.
Thank you for your help.
