Object Edge Color

I have created some boxes as background and used transparent materials.

I know changing edge color in Visual styles will will apply to the everything in the model. But I only want to change the edge color of the background boxes to blue, but keep the main building edges black, is there a way to do that?

Sorry @hliS658H - I don't think there's a way to accomplish per-object edge color overrides. Only all edges via Visual Styles as you mentioned. 😞

My best suggestion is to flatten all edges. It doesn't exactly create the effect you're looking for, but I hope it'll do. See the attached video. Also notice that I disabled "Faces" in the Window selection filter (at about 9 seconds) to make selecting just the edges easier.

Just to clarify, the command used for hiding those edges in the video above is Smooth Edges, not flatten. Flatten is only available for faces.

Pro tip: you can select a mix of faces and edges, and use the shortcut SE to smooth the edges, even though the context menu item won't be visible (since it's a mixed selection set).
