How to save and access Formit-files in A360?

I have created files on Formit for the last year, at least, on my ipad.  I am assuming that it was saving the files to the A360 Drive.  The ipad has bit the dust and I just accessed the online version of Formit.  When I look at my A360 Drive to get to my old ipad files, they do not show up.  Can someone help me to find the old ipad files?  They must be there since they were allways there when I worked on them on my ipad.

Michael,

I am sorry your iPad bit the dust! I guess it gives you a reason to buy the new iPad Pro, right? Smiley Wink  As for your files, there are two things to try

  1. Did you log into A360 from your iPad (you should have seen white cloud icons on each file in the gallery) ? If so, then you are correct, the files should be in A360 Drive in the FormIt folder. If you visit A360 and you cannot find ADrive at all - take a look at this post.  If you still cannot find files that you are sure were syncronized, I suggest you post on the A360 Forum and see if they can help.
  2. If you did not log into A360, or if you cannot find your files online, your only other option is to restore a backup of your iPad to another iPad. Did you create a  backup of your iPad before it died - either using Apple iCloud or iTunes? If you restore an entire backup of your iPad, FormIt should be there with all of the files.

hope this helps!

Thanks vollart. I usually have to post a question like this to get the "cyber gods" to release their hex on my "user-ness", lol. As soon as I posted the question, I experimented with accessing the on-line version of Formit 360, and sure enough, my Autodesk A360 account with all of my Formit files. Much thanks for your response. The Pro version is on my radar, but I am trying to work out some issues with the resolution of shapes when I incorporate large radius curves before I invest. Right now, the large radius curves just view as 2 face, faceted sloping cuts in my geometric shapes, misrepresenting the intent of my concept design. In general, Formit has been fun to develop a few concept ideas with. Thanks again. 🙂

Hi Vollart,

Slighly off topic:

Do you have any idea when the ipad pro app will have feature parity with the web version?

Thanks
