FormIt to Revit conversion issues

Hi all

I'm new to FormIt but am currently trying to demonstrate how we can convert a sketchup file to Revit, rather than having to redraw everything after the concept stage.

Now I have successfully managed to convert the SKP to AXM with no issues (I believe). Due to the file size I'm having to import the FormIt model into Revit in bits; I'm exporting the layers individually as AXMs and loading each individual file into Revit. This was the method I'd seen as a solution in earlier posts and it has worked to an extend. The problem I have is that the geometry doesn't stay in the same place when it goes into revit. The majority appear to be in the correct place but then others seem to be miles out.

This isn't limited to each file but the geometry in the file, for example I've imported a kitchen; it has gone in at the correct location but the worktop has moved away from the base unit vertically.

Any ideas?

Hello there - sorry for the slow follow up! Sounds like there may be bugs but I can't tell what they are without the file. I'll contact you directly to discuss file sharing.

One idea that comes to mind - is if there was scaling or other operations done on the countertop in SketchUp? This may throw the converter off.

Thanks for posting - and thanks for researching best practices with importing!

Thank you and hopefully we can find a solution as it's something the company I work for are interested in exploring more. If you give me the details to send it over I'll fire it across asap.
