The script editor is used to execute FormIt JavaScript commands. FormIt (Windows) has a JavaScript Plugin API and can do plugins (create toolbars, HTML UI panels, and custom scripts).
Currently documentation is being worked on, but there's enough information at the JavaScript Plugin APIwebsite to get started.
