Hi

I've just started yesterday in Formit and i have some questions:

1. The formit converter, has to be installed as admin user? I installed, reinstalled, repair it and everytime that i open the Revit i cannot see it and even the add ins tab. Maybe to admin user can work?

2. As I said just yerterday start it. Today I've tried to install the Pro to check the features for 30 days and appears a message saying my trial has expired. Any idea what is wrong?

3. Sometimes when I tried to select a phase to push/pull it, the face is moving rather than push it. Is there any way to only access to push it command?

Regards

Hi Hugo, thank you for the questions. Sorry you are having trouble. Let me try and anwer:

  1. Admin rights may be required. I would try uninstalling and re-installing by right clicking on FormItConverter.msi and choosing "Run as Adminstrator"
  2. Have you started a FormIt 360 trial at some point since May 14? You may have started one and then run through the 30 days.
  3. For Push/Pull, you should try to adjust the angle at which you are viewing the face you are trying to "push." If you are looking straight at the face, it will be difficult for the command to figure out which way you are intending to move the face.

Hi Hugo - I echo Tom's comments - Here's a few additional suggestions...

Are you running Revit LT by any chance? If you are then you will not see the add-ins tab. I just learned last week that LT does not support Add-ins - so this might be part of the issue.

Alos with drag face. I'm guessing you have a face on the ground - and you are double clicking to select it. This will enter the Move tool, not the drag face tool. Instead just single click to select a face - then click again to start a drag operation - finally click a third time to finish the drag.

Thanks for trying out FormIt!

Thanks Tom and Tobias,

1. I have been checking and apparently the Revit 2014 doesn't support the formit converter as per last Tom's post. I am trying to get the 2015 next week.

2. Finally the trial pro is working and it's awesome.

3. About the push and pull, yes, you are right but to be honest I am missing the 2 different commands for move and push.

I am excited to see new features in the next episode!

Thanks
