FormIt Pro on 4K Display?

I have a 4K display on my laptop running the latest build of Windows 10. When the display is scaled to 100% I have no issues with FormIt Pro, however, everything else is way too small. I usually have scaling set to 150-175%. When set at anything above 100%, the working window in FormIt Pro is scaled down within the applications (see attached). Is anyone aware of another setting I could adjust to allow for a full size working space, but maintaining my scaling at 150%?

Hi William,

Thanks for letting us know you're seeing this. We've seen this too in certain configurations, and it seems to be related to a system environment variable. Can you try the following:

- In Windows, go to the Start menu and type "Environment"

- Select "Edit the system environment variables"

- In the dialog that comes up, click "Environment Variables..." in the lower right corner

- At the bottom, under System Variables, look for the following: QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR = 1

If you see that entry, try selecting it, then clicking "Delete" on the bottom right of the dialog. This should solve the problem for FormIt... if it causes issues with other apps, simply add the variable back (QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR = 1) and let us know, and we can go from there.

I'm curious, do you recall adding that variable yourself manually, ever?

Let us know, thanks!

Oh, I got so excited that I might have got a solution so quickly, but unfortunately, I don't have the System Variable "QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR" where you indicated that I might. I don't know if it's related or not, but I do see a User Variable in the area above "QT_DEVICE_PIXEL_RATIO = auto".

Would you mind trying to delete that environment variable you mentioned, and see if things improve? You can always add it back if another application acts differently as a result of the change.

That seemed to fix the issue. Thank you. Bonus, it fixed another issue I was having with an application running in my system tray that wasn't scaling right.

Thanks again.
