Formit Pro mixes up mm and m

Formit Pro mixes up mm and m (meters) in dimensions and during sketch dimensions. See attached screenshot.

Any chance of a bug fix on that one?

Strange indeed!

We'd love to fix this, but we'll need to be able to reproduce the problem to investigate further. We haven't been able to reproduce this, yet. Can you tell us what steps, exactly, lead to this state?

OK, here goes, steps:

• install Formit Pro from desktop app (attachment 1.png)
• start new document
• change units to mm (attachment 2.png)
• draw rectangle
• When i enter 6m in the live dimension window  (attachment 3.png)
• -the result is a sketch rectangle with the correct size(attachment 4.png)
• -but showing 6mm as the result!(attachment 4.png)
• When i enter 6mm in the live dimension window  (attachment 5.png)
• -the result is correct, 6mm rectangle, also showing a 6mm rectangle as the result.  (attachment 6.png)

Version number etc. Let me know if you need hardware/OS specs etc.

Thanks for the additional information.

This behavior could be related to the Windows 10 language/region settings.

• What language is Windows 10 set to? You can find this by searching for "Language" in Start.
• What are your regional numeric format settings? You'll have to search Start for "Control Panel", then go to "Region" in Control Panel, and from that dialog, click "Additional settings..." and the following dialog will expose the decimal and other numeric options for the operating system. Maybe you can screenshot this for us. These options may be automatically updated when your language changes, and could impact how FormIt displays the zeros you'd expect when typing 6m (6,000 mm).

Same problem here... also my friend has this problem. Changing the decimal and language didn't work. Typing 1000.000 mm (see picture), makes 1,00 mm

type: 100000 mmget: 1 mm

Can you tell us what language Windows 10 is set to?

We have not been able to reproduce this, and are looking to investigate any variable that might impact this behavior.

Does the same problem occur when editing dimensions in FormIt Web?

Hello,

I tried in on Formit Web, did not a problem there.

I tried changing my windows 10 to Englisch and change my decimals, but nothing changed. 

I already tried re-downloading it multiple times.

I didn't have this problem before the new version my windows language has never been on english before.

Maybe there's an older version i could download?

Can you please confirm what language and region settings are being used on Windows 10?

• Search Start for Region, and you'll see a result for "Region Settings"
• Take a screenshot of this dialog and post here so we can see what settings are used
  
  

Can you also test whether using cm instead of mm has the same issue?

Regarding a few other items in your post:

• Redownloading and reinstalling FormIt won't change anything - this issue is not related to the installer or a corrupt install.
• FormIt 2021 made no changes in this area, so we think it's unlikely the new version is the culprit.
• Currently, there's no path to downgrade to an old version of FormIt, sorry. It's always best to be on the latest. Again, we suspect the issue is with a setting on Windows 10, not a problem with FormIt 2021 specifically. If we dig deeper with your help and find it is indeed an issue with FormIt 2021, we'll fix it right away. As it stands, we suspect Windows 10 language or region settings are at play, so we need to address that variable first.

Actually, we were able to reproduce on our end, so we're implementing a fix for this now. Look for a new FormIt update soon!

P.S I’m currently working with French Canadian version of Windows 10 and FormIt 19.0.0 but cannot reproduce either of these errors.
