FormIT 360 Model Looks Different When Opened in Revit

Why would a form created in FormIT 360 look different when opened in Revit?

I created a twisted form; steps are: First sketched a Rectangle. Then extruded up to set the height. The top Face was rotated to create the twist. I then dragged a vertex up at one end.

Saved to A360 Drive which converted the FormIT 360 file to a Revit RVT file.

Download and open the RVT file in Revit.

It appears Revit cannot reproduce the flat twisted faces created in FormIT 360.

Gary, there are some differences in how Revit interprets and then lofts between twisted faces. However, the case you show should have come across exactly as you see it in FormIt. Can you try converting the FormIt AXM file using the Revit Converter Add-in (instead of the RVT you retrieved from the A360 Drive folder?)  http://formit360.autodesk.com/blog/formit-converter/

Hi,
I downloaded the 2016 version and no difference.
In FormIT create an extruded Rectangle or add a Box primitive. Rotate the top face. FormIT creates flat faceted faces between the top and bottom faces. On import Revit creates a twist in the face. I want to maintain the flat faceted faces if possible, without having to add Edges to the Mass model in Revit. Thanks.

Hi gary - I was just looking at a problem similar to this one - do you mind sharing your FormIt AXM file that was used to generate the Revit file? I'd like to test it out if you still have the file around.

Thanks for posting!
