Adjusted level on one floor does not update the next upper levels

I have created a massing model in FormIt and added levels accordingly, as the mass updates with the design and floor heights are modified, I have to enter the new floor height on subsequent levels manually. Shouldn't it be adjusted automatically?

Hello - The floor heights in FormIt don't update automatically - I can't tell from your description what result you think should occur! If you could spell it out a bit more I could try to advise.

One trick I have used... is that if the floor to floor height needs to change, it can be cumbersome to adjust this number for EACH of the levels you've created - so you can delete the levels, and then recreate levels with the new floor to floor heights using the 'add multiple levels' command. This will save you time in editing each height value.

Thanks for writing in! I hope to answer your question, but could use a bit more info first. Tobias

Thanks Tobias,

Sorry for the lack of description, although you basically got it right. Editing levels once added to the formit file IS actually a burden yes. If a floor height was previously 10fts high and only that one floor need to go 18fts, editing this level does not adjust the others in consequence of its growth. I think this should be made better, smarter.

I will use your workaround though.

Thanks for replying.
