Why imported surrounding model is including Analysis?

Hi all,

Site limits:A
Surrounding model: Generic (Layer)

I imported the Surrounding model which is outside of the Site limits.

In the analysis, the suorrounding model is included.

Is there any way to exclude the surrounding?

Thanks for your advice in advance!

Hi,

Yes, this is a known limitation when importing many buildings from files. Files containing many buildings get grouped into one geometry in Forma. This means that all buildings in that file will be included in your analysis even if the analysis area only includes or overlaps with one of them.

If you'd like to work with only one building, we recommend isolating it (removing the other buildings from the file) prior to import. Alternatively, you can bring the file into 3D Sketch and delete the other buildings.

You can read more about working with imported 3D models in our documentation: Working with imported 3D models in Forma

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I found that the very samll part of imported gometries is included inside the site Limit.

That causes the problem.
