What have you used Forma Board for? Where does it fall short?

As we continue to develop and improve the Forma Board, we are interested in getting input from the community to help us prioritize what is most important develop next.

We are especially interested in hearing stories about:

• Times you have used Forma Board in your work
• Times you have tried to use Forma Board, but ended up using another tool instead

it would be nice if we could save the board as PDF since some clients require documents be sent by email.

It would be nice if the Design Views + Live Views updated when applied with a set camera position. Currently, the snapshots dont update for all proposals.

Being able to export/save/print as PDF is something we know would be valuable to many of our users.

We have been looking into how we could solve this, but unfortunately, I'm unable to give a timeline for when this could make its way into the product.

This sounds like you might have encountered a bug, as all snapshots should update their previews when you change the camera angle (although it might take up to 30 seconds in some extreme cases).

I'd like to be able to bring the different building functions/colors into the board. Also missing the satellite image when in board.

Hi,

Here are some features that would greatly improve the experience when using Boards:

1. Add a color scheme legend to match the design views and metrics we're presenting.
2. Include floor plan views for individual buildings, with area or dimension details.
3. Add frame numbers so the presentation looks more like a formal document.
4. Provide an 11x17 tabloid format for frames.

Additionally, while this may not be directly related to Boards, it would be very helpful to have the ability to switch between imperial and metric units.
As a Canadian architectural firm, we are often asked to present unit sizes in square feet, but we design according to metric code requirements.

We hope these suggestions can help improve the software.
