Terrain elevation import to Rhino - wrong elevation/height coordinate system

I have created a project in Sweden with terrain from the source "Laserdata Nedladdning" from Lantmäteriet, which I know to be an accurate source for terrain data. When importing this into Rhino, where I have a model that is set to the correct z height according to the Swedish height coordinate system, the Forma terrain is off by 15ish meters.

Is there a way to set the height coordinate system in an automatically created terrain, or import it into Rhino so it is set correctly? I see great potential in using Forma for this type of terrain creation but it will unfortunately be unuseable for me if it doesn't correspond to our national coordinate system in some way.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the message @agnes.lundberg.

We do not import Forma into Rhino at the elevation of the "real world".  It is set with the lowest point in the terrain 1 meter above the "ground".

So it is expected the Forma terrain would be below your model by however high that lowest point in the terrain is (minus the 1 meter of thickness).

If you are interested in the Rhino model being at the actually elevation, it is suggested you pick a reference point in the Forma site context (perhaps a surrounding building, or a terrain feature) that matches your desired elevation and use that to raise the terrain to match.  From there you can Bake the terrain and extrude the bottom of the terrain to the "ground".

If you just need them to be in the same place, you could alternately use a reference point to lower your model to the terrain.

Hope this helps and happy holidays!
