Read metrics per site

Hello,

I need to read metrics per form, zone or site.

The idea is to use Dynamo Player to read metrics from multiple building selections but the forma metrics are merged into one dictionary instead of separating them by forma or site,...

Is there any way to do this?????????????

Hi! I think you're asking if you can pick individual buildings with Select Metrics? I believe the behavior of the Select Metrics node is, by default, the whole project, but allows for individual and multi-select, like the Select Elements node. So, you should be able to select the individual elements that you want to get information on.

That being said, the nested Dictionary structure is not . . . ideal. We're working on it.

I Kronz, I don't think you get it, I want to select multiple buildings but the metrics instead of being merged as a whole by function to be separated per buildings an then by function.

Different zone/site/buildings in a masterplan have different properties so I would like to have the data structure in a more segregated way so we can be more analitycal with the metrics.

I hope is clearer now.

Thanks

Ah, I see. Yes, for the selection set that you take for any Select Metrics node, it aggregates all values into a single value (like, total Residential sqm for a selection of 4 buildings). What you'd like from a 4-building selection is 4 dictionaries, yes? I think at the moment you would need to have a separate Select Metrics node for each building to get the outcome you want. Not ideal for any kind of large site.

Yes, that is nuts for the exercise we are doing.

it would be great if you could add a new node with dictionaries per selection, like metrics from selected elements
