Imported Revit model missing contour lines

I imported a Revit project into Forma, but the typical black contour lines are missing. The lines are visible in the Library's preview picture, but they do not appear in Forma's workspace.

I’ve imported almost the same model before without any issues, so this was unexpected.

Please see the pictures below comparing the new and old imports.

In addition to the missing outlines, the new import is also missing the gray "filling" of the objects. In other words, when the camera moves inside a wall, it appears hollow.

What could be the reason of this? I imported the model twice with the same result. The model is fairly large, containing 3717 parts, but I don't think that's the reason, as it worked last time also.

edit: I've also tried with another Forma project, but with the same result.

Hi,

Forma's 3d preview performs some optimizations when an element's geometry gets too detailed (for example, if the number of vertices jumps above 600 000, the edges will be hidden). You mentioned the two models are almost the same. However is it possible you added some geometry in Revit that increased the overall complexity (maybe some detailed furniture or MEP pipes & fittings hidden inside the building)? One thing to remember, is that the Revit plug-in groups all of the Revit elements into a single Forma element, and that can make hitting the vertex limit easier.

That's interesting, and good to know. Thanks!

It's a funny thing. To my knowledge, the second model was meant to have less geometry, as the only changes in the Revit model was that I deleted few walls. But, as you said, it could be that some other new geometries were accidentally picked during the import process.
