Hi,

I'm working on a project and wanted to have my parcel divided so that it is phased. Used the site limit tool and it worked but whenever I had adjacent sites that were separated by a line basically I had problems with appropriately phasing buildings.

I had to offset the zones a couple of inches to make it work. Not sure if it is on my part but it'd be great to not have to do offsets.

Thanks!

Hello! Thank you for reaching out.

That is an interesting use case.
I am unsure why you experienced issues about adjacent lines and had to consider a buffer to avoid it, but I do understand that the tooling currently doesn't allow you to do this efficiently.

I may be missing something but I believe that you could benefit from using the "site automation" feature for this. This feature is intended to help quickly generate different layouts for a site, in order to explore massing potential.
Here is an article explaining how to use it: https://help.autodeskforma.com/autodeskforma/en/articles/10456412-explore-the-potential-of-your-site...

In your case, you could remove the building topologies of each of the cells and focus on refining the site layout, alongside with the site layout buffer (if set to 0 it should make adjacent zones).

Once you click on "release" (see in the help article), you will end up with zones that - if I understood correctly - should be what you were looking for.

Please give it a try, and feel free to come back to us to clarify whether this worked well.

Thank you!

Hi @maxime_briens ,

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll take a look, the thing is that I have placed the site areas manually tracing property lines and other constraints and it is just finicky since every building that goes to the edge is sometimes picked up by both site areas that share that boarder.

On another note, is there a toggle that makes possible for some functions to not be included in the FAR? For example above parking garages would be one of them. I know I have the FAR broken down by functions as well but it would be great to have the possibility of choosing which functions contribute to the total FAR.

Thanks,

Dren
