Hi, After I apply floor plan on my massing, the sun hour analysis is not working (show an error). Anyone has similar experience and any potential outcome?
Hi @LK_Yeung If Solar Hours analysis fails, it’s usually not intended behavior and is often related to model size or complexity rather than the floor plan itself.
A few things to try:
Switch to Google Chrome if you’re using another browser. Forma is optimized for Chrome, and analyses may fail or behave inconsistently in other browsers.
Check model complexity. Very large or complex proposals can cause the analysis to fail or run without detailed statistics (such as facade/roof breakdowns).
Analyze smaller areas. Instead of running the analysis on the full site, split the project into 2–3 zones and run the analysis separately for each zone. This usually improves reliability and allows detailed results to appear.
If the analysis still doesn’t run, make a small edit to the model (for example, move an object slightly) and try again to force a new analysis run.
